Go up to Hautpoul and take the metal footbridge suspended 70 meters above the Arnette valley. Do you feel how it rocks gently under your feet? Want to go back in time? Stroll through the medieval streets where the memory of the Cathars still floats. Hautpoul is high and it gives goosebumps. An exceptional point of view At 70 meters above the ground, you shouldn't be dizzy. But on its own, the exceptional view of the Arnette valley is worth taking your courage with both hands. By taking the footbridge that leads to Hautpoul, not only will you be swept away by the beauty of the landscape but in addition, you will set off to discover a remarkable historical heritage. The medieval village of Hautpoul Hautpoul guards the entrance to the Montagne Noire and its vast forests. This medieval perched village is not open to traffic. Historic cradle of Mazamet, this former Cathar site clinging to a rocky peak overlooks the city from more than 300 m. On the program: - Picturesque alleys - Viewpoint - Wood and toy craftsmen In practice Unique in Occitania, the Mazamet footbridge is a 140-metre long aerial path that crosses the Arnette gorges at a height of 70 metres. It opened to the public on Saturday September 15, 2018.

Access to the footbridge is free and open to the public all year round, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
