In 1480, the seigneury became the possession of Hugues d'Amboise, Baron d'Aubijoux. This seigniory will remain in the family of Amboise until the 17th century. The grandson of Hugh, Louis d'Amboise d'Aubijoux, Count of Aubijoux and Baron de Castelnau-de Bonnafous, restored and regularly lived in the very characteristic castle, with its 40-metre high tower. The arms room of the castle was decorated by his care with paintings, among which we noticed the portrait of the Count d'Aubijoux, and that of the king.
