If you feel like lifting a cast iron, doing a little cardio (bike, rowing machine or elliptical), doing your gym exercises or your yoga, or sweating without moving, do not hesitate to ask Isabelle to show you the sauna area and the gym which are open for self-service from 8:30 am to 8 pm.

If you're interested in a bit of reading on the benefits of infrared sauna, it's here!

Infrared rays penetrate deep into the dermal layer (up to 4 cm), in doing so, they stimulate the warming of tissues, muscles, organs, joints, thus causing strong sweating associated with an acceleration of blood circulation and metabolism . This is supposed to strengthen the body's immune defenses, improve muscle nutrition, enrich tissues with oxygen and ensure the elimination of heavy metals.

There are however some contraindications, take a moment to verify that you are not concerned:

  • If you experience any discomfort, be very careful and see a doctor.
  • If you are using medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist for possible interactions with infrared.
  • Take into account that the increase in body temperature during the session can have a negative effect in the event of metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis and certain skin diseases.
  • If you have a recent joint injury, it should not be exposed to heat for the first 48 hours or until symptoms of heating and swelling subside. Joints that are periodically warm and swollen may react badly to high heat. Too much heat is strictly contraindicated in cases of infections whether dental, in the joints or in any other tissue.
  • In the event of pregnancy or suspected pregnancy, discontinuation of sauna use is recommended.
  • Metal pins, prostheses, or other surgical implants generally reflect infrared rays and are not affected by infrared heat. Nevertheless, ask your doctor or surgeon before using the sauna.
  • Heat in a woman's lower back area during periods of menstruation can temporarily increase the flow of menstruation.
  • Hemophiliacs or anyone prone to bleeding should avoid the use of infrared or any heat source that can cause vasodilation.
  • It is obvious to stop using the infrared sauna in case of worsening of any ailment.

For safety reasons, access to the sauna is prohibited for children under 16, even accompanied. The attendance of the sports hall by minors is not advised and is done under the supervision and the full responsibility of the parents.
